| Things to Do on the Gulf Coast |
| With a constant supply of beautiful weather here in Southwest Florida comes a constant supply of things to do. Considered the "Golf capital of the World" with more holes of golf per capita then anywhere else, you can play a round of golf everyday & never get bored. Now if you'd rather pick up a Racquet & a match then you'll love the many Har-Tru courts you will find to play some tennis on. Maybe the beach is more your thing, the Gulf Coast beaches have been rated #1 time & time again. Most are public but there are some state parks that encompass miles of beach great for shelling. Tour the area on the Naples Trolley or by sea on the Naples Princess. There are always deep sea fishing excursions if you want to test your luck on the water. If you'd rather test your luck at the casino then you can go to the Seminole Casino or maybe the Greyhound Track where they also offer poker. For all our sports enthusiast we have the spring training for the Minnesota Twins & Boston Red Sox not to mention Miracle Baseball is always a great time for the family of baseball lovers. Now if Hockey is more your thing then go to Germain Arena where the Everblades take to the ice. This is also home to the Firecats Arena Football team. The Broadway Palm Theatre, Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, Sudgen Theatre & Philharmonic are great places to take in a concert, Broadway show & many other performances. If you're looking to get a little closer to wildlife check out some local air boat tours, the Naples Zoo always makes for a great day, Babcock Wilderness Adventures, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium & the Big Cypress National Preserve all add to more "wild" days. |
